Atlantic Overhead Door Co Ltd was established in 1984 by Wally Palmer to handle the overflow of commercial door business from an existing construction company he owned. For decades, Wally had run construction firms in Prince Edward Island and Ontario that built projects such as provincial roadways, industrial buildings, and churches. Impressed by his honesty and the quality of his work, customers kept asking him to also handle their commercial doors. This demand led him to start our new company, Atlantic Overhead Door Co Ltd. Wally’s solid 40 year reputation in the construction industry continued to grow and our new company became known as “the good door people” by both customers and suppliers alike. Our growth was rapid and we are now run by three generations of Palmers: Wally Palmer the grandfather & founder; Roland Palmer the son; and Roli Palmer the grandson. They lead our team and back up our work the old fashion way - through honesty and service that leads to lasting customer relationships.

 

Wally remains a driving force in our business today as he approaches his 90’s in great health! He visits many of the job sites and always provides sound wisdom that comes from over 60 years of satisfied customers.
